♥ hello summer

would you believe that it is finally the long awaited summer holidays? it's taken a while for it to register in my head. so far, i've had a lovely few days.

eating strawberry bonbons and drinking tea and buying new clothes and making rain clouds out of paper and red ribbons and pink satin bows and sleepovers and chocolate spread on pancakes and being with friends and jammy biscuits and cherries and watching films and finishing school and sitting on the corner of the road and french manicures and starbucks and going on swings and writing stories and climbing trees and sitting on grass and apple shampoo and bestest friends and millions and art journaling and lots of rain!

its raining its pouring

i just looked outside my window and i couldn't see anything except a blurry mess. the rain is falling so hard that its actually making it hard to see past it. the pavement is flooding and puddles are forming.

i wish i was still in paris in the sunshine!
the water droplets are chasing each other down the window pane

one day, we'll live in paris

i am home! i had the most beautiful, inspiring, wonderful trip to paris and i wish i could've stayed for just a bit longer. i did so many things that will stay with me forever and i'll never forget.
we travelled for a long long time on monday after meeting up at half six in the morning. we when arrived in france we stopped at a teeny service station, and you wouldn't believe the difference i had already noticed from england. no greasy fast food restaurants or newsagents. only a lovely little french cafe with juice machines and a gift shop full of tasty sweets and ice creams and souvenirs. when it got dark, we walked down to a miniature carnival to celebrate bastille. we ate pink fluffy candyfloss and danced to live french music and watched fireworks.
on tuesday we took a trip down to parc asterix and i had a lovely time. i went on the big wooden rollercoaster and rode a horse on a magical carousel.
wednesday was my favourite. we first looked around the french markets where i bought a wonderful cream floaty shirt and some pastel pink nail varnish and some fresh raspberries which were delicious! next was the musee d'orsay which was utterly beautiful. i took endless photographs of the beautiful carved ceilings and the huge gold ornate clock on the wall. we sat on the rooftop and looked at the views over paris in the bright sunshine. we popped into the shops around the louvre and then went to the sacre coeur. i don't think i can say that i have ever felt so enchanted in my whole life. the white domed ceilings and stained glass windows and glowing candles. it was so so beautiful, i wish i was allowed to take pictures inside.

i went to the very top of the eiffel tower on thursday and did some shopping along the champs elysees. i also went on a bateux mouche which was basically a boat ride down the river seine. it was so relaxing. the view from the eiffel tower was magnificant!

yesterday we went to monets garden and then made a very long journey home.

today i did some i went shopping for some final bits and peices as i am going to france on monday!

i bought some jeggings, which i love, and i also bought the most darling necklace. it is a small pink china teacup and saucer with a gold spoon hanging on a delicate gold chain. i am truely in love with it.

i also popped into the library today and i got alice and wonderland. i love it, as its the proper old version with all the original pictures.

i have just watched harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban and i never ever get tired of watching it. i really want to go and see the new film, harry potter and the half blood prince, but i'm in paris when it comes out in cinemas! oh well, i can wait until i am back :)

i need to go and start sorting out all my things to take with me to france, everything needs to be folded and all my jewellery needs to be wrapped up in pink tissue paper :)
